Refurbishment of the Induction Coil
In the KUŘIM foundry, the following actions were performed:
- Determination of the coil damage extent.
- Conducting the pressure test.
- Documentation of the pressure test.
- Removal of the original fabric on the outer part of the coil around the entire circumference.
- Removal of the original epoxy on the outer part of the coil at the damaged area.
- Chemical cleaning of deposits outside the profile.
- Replacement of missing or damaged micanite spacers at the damaged areas.
- Bandaging the damaged threads with insulation tape.
- Twice impregnation of the inner part of the coil with varnish.
- Installation of new epoxy at the damaged areas.
- Installation of new epoxy around the entire circumference.
- Installation of new fabric around the entire circumference.

I cannot honestly recommend coil repair for the melting furnace by BV Coils. Our experience with coil repair was extremely positive – fast and precise. I really hope not more foundries will learn about this great company, so there will be more services left for us.
