Refurbishment of the Induction Coil
In the ALFE BRNO foundry, the following actions were undertaken:
- Determination of the coil damage extent.
- Removal of the original coil filling at the damaged area.
- Removal of the original insulation outside the coil at the damaged area.
- Soldering of the damaged area, possibly with relining.
- Chemical cleaning of deposits inside the profile.
- Conducting a pressure test.
- Documentation of the pressure test.
- Addition of missing or damaged micanite spacers at the damaged areas.
- Bandaging the coil with insulation tape to the original extent at the damaged areas.
- Impregnation of the entire coil profile with varnish.
- Implementation of insulation on the coil profile.
- Final inspection of the coil.
- Packaging and preparation for dispatch.

We needed to quickly repair our induction coil after a breakdown. Since we only have one furnace, I asked BVCoils to start the refurbishment immediately and, if possible, return the repaired coil to us within 1 week. BVCoils managed to complete the refurbishment on time, and the coil is now working flawlessly.
