Refurbishment of the Induction Coil
In the UNEX OLOMOUC foundry, the following actions were performed:
- Removal of the original coil filler around the entire circumference.
- Removal of the original insulation (bandage) outside the coil at the damaged area.
- Removal of the original epoxy outside the coil at the damaged area.
- Chemical cleaning of deposits inside the profile.
- Conducting a pressure test once upon the coil's arrival and once before departure.
- Documentation of the pressure test.
- Replacement of missing or damaged micanite spacers at the damaged areas.
- Bandaging the coil with insulation tape to the original extent at the damaged areas.
- Impregnation of the damaged areas with varnish.
- Conducting a filler application between the turns.
- Application of epoxy outside the coil at the removed areas.
- Measuring the insulation state of the coil.
